On Today's Show

It's the first day of July! Don't forget that George W. Bush's birthday happens this month; who could have guessed that he turned out to be a cancer?

Anyways, we've got a transformational show planned for you today. First, at 3:30 EST we'll be joined by a founding member of the recently formed LGBT Equality Caucus in the U.S. House, Representative Steve Rothman (Democrat-NJ), who's made his own transformation. Representative Tammy Baldwin, some of you will remember, announced the formation of the Caucus last month on our show. Rothman reversed his position on same-sex marriage recently, and announced his plans to join the Caucus after his daughter came out as a lesbian.

Then we'll look back at a time when America was in turmoil and coming to grips with an unwinable war in the midst of a Presidential election, and a transformational political figure came on the scene. Sound familiar? Author Thurston Clarke will join us at 4:30 EST to talk about his book The Last Campaign: Robert F. Kennedy and 82 Days that Inspired America. Even 40 years after his tragic death Robert Kennedy's honesty and passion still resonate with us.

Tune into the Michelangelo Signorile Show weekdays from 2-6 p.m. EST on Sirius Satellite Radio’ s OutQ, Channel 109. Not a subscriber? Listen online at any time by getting a free three-day pass.
