FISA Vote Possible Today (Or This Week)

We've covered the many problems with the new FISA bill quite a bit on the show over the past few weeks, including the provision for retroactive immunity for the telecoms. Author and blogger Glenn Greenwald came on the program two weeks ago to talk about it, and if you didn't hear the interview you should listen in because Glenn has it all down when it comes to civil liberties, the Bush administration, the Democrats, Barack Obama and the media. And if you need any more convincing as to why this bill is a bad bill we will refer you here and here. And now we need to do all we can to stop it, as difficult as that might be. So, get active:

Call and tell your Senator that you want him or her to support Dodd-Feingold-Leahy Amendment and vote no on the FISA bill. Senate switchboard: 202 224 3121.
