On Today's Show

It's our last day of encore interviews and discussions, as we're back live on Monday.

Hour 1 – We talk about the White House’s ridiculous reaction to a critical e-mail from the EPA, then we talk about the business and environmental consequences of bottled water with Elizabeth Royte, author of Bottlemania, which is reviewed in today's New York Times.

Hour 2 – Yesterday we replayed a discussion about whether Michelle Obama should be off-limits. Today we replay the discussion about Cindy McCain - the other candidate’s (second, possibly somewhat polygamist) wife. Also, we speak with author Scott Pomfret about his gay catholic memoir Since My Last Confession.

Hour 3 – A discussion of a lesbian kiss controversy at a Seattle Mariners game, then acclaimed author Augusten Burroughs talks to us about his new memoir A Wolf at the Table

Hour 4 – We have a fun flashback to when we first found out about Diaper David Vitter’s exploits, I tell a crazy story from my summer vacation last year, and Steven Prothero joins us to discuss his book Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know--And Doesn't.
