On Today's Show

It's Thursday! Hurray! It's also our last live show of the week (but we're on the air tomorrow, and will update you then on what encore interviews and discussions we'll be bringing you).

First at 3:30 EST we travel through time all the way back to 1994(seems like forever ago, doesn't it?), when Benjamin Barber was first invited to participate in a seminar on the future of democratic ideas and ideals with President Bill Clinton. Barber eventually became an informal consultant to the Clinton White House and witnessed some of it's biggest triumphs and challenges. He'll join us today in our second hour to talk about his book The Truth of Power: Intellectual Affairs in the Clinton White House. In light of Clinton's profile during his wife's campaign (and the criticisms of him) this should be an interesting conversation.

Then at 4:30 EST Comedian and political satirist Lizz Winstead will join us once again. Check out her live show Shoot the Messenger.

Tune into the Michelangelo Signorile Show weekdays from 2-6 p.m. EST on Sirius Satellite Radio’ s OutQ, Channel 109. Not a subscriber? Listen online at any time by getting a free three-day pass.
