On Today's Show

In our second hour (3:30 EST) Mark LaFontaine, gay candidate running for a Florida House seat, joins us to talk about his historic campaign. Openly gay and HIV positive, he is intent on taking on the discrimination he has experienced in his own life: An "all-American" Catholic boy and Eagle Scout who attended the Merchant Marine Academy and served in the Coast Guard, he was drummed out of the military in 1987 for being gay, and fired from a later job because of his HIV status.

And in our third hour (4:30 EST) we''ll get into the San Diego Hyatt Boycott with organizers Cleve Jones (longtime AIDS activist and creator of the AIDS quilt) and Brigette Browning, union leader. San Diego Grand Hyatt owner Doug Manchester gave over $100,000 to the antigay forces promoting the ballot measure to ban marriage equality in California. LGBT activists and their allies are not having it.
