On Today's Show



In our second hour, we'll focus on the brutal murder of transgender woman Angie Zapata in Greeley, Colorado. A suspect, Allan Ray Andrade, was arrested yesterday. Andrade was dating Angie Zapata and police say he confessed to beating her to death with a fire extinguisher after he discovered she was transgender. We'll speak with reporter Mike Peters, who has covered he tragic story for the Greeley Tribune.

In our third hour (4:30 EST): The Knoxville, Tennessee church shootings. Carla Lewis had only been in the Knoxville Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church for a few moments when gunfire erupted. Carla, a regular church congregant and website manager for the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition joins us to share her eye-witness account of the tragic events as they unfolded, and her realization that this was an anti-liberal anti-gay attack, spurred on by conservative hate.
