Baltimore County, Maryland officials are holding two young men without bail in what appears to be a violent, hate-motivated murder. The two men accused, ages 17 and 18, allegedly stabbed and killed fellow gang member Steven Parrish after discovering messages on his phone that implied he was gay.
The killing of 18-year-old Parrish took place just days before he was set to walk the stage at his high school graduation last May.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Steven T. Hollis and Juan Flythe are the two suspects who were arrested and charged late last week with first-degree murder.
