The Log Cabin Republicans endorsed John McCain at their "Big Tent" lunch here at the RNC today. Patrick Sammon then came on the show, in our last hour, to explain the endorsement. I went through all of the antigay positions John McCain has supported, as well as his refusal to support any progay legislation. Also, talked about Sarah Palin's record and her clear hostility to gay rights. Basically, his argument was that they haven't run antigay commercials using gay issues in the campaign, like Romney, so therefore they're better, and that his group has to endorse for "strategic" reasons. Your thoughts?
