From the comments and some of the calls to the show today it's clear that some people think we shouldn't even be talking about Sarah Palin, as the McCain campaign would like us all to focus on her and her scandals (and have the religious right rally to her defense) and not talk about the real issues.
I agree that those are the intentions of the McCain campaign, and I would say the Obama campaign shouldn't fall for into the trap and should stick with the issues.
But we -- as media people, as commentators, and as a constituency (LGBT) with a very real interest in Sarah Palin's views -- certainly must talk about her, and expose her. That's why we spent a lot of time on her today. And, a lot of people called in to give their points of view. People really had a lot to add, and I think it was important. This woman may become president. We didn't get to a lot of the interviews we still haven't played from the RNC -- except for Ken Blackwell, former Ohio Secretary of State -- but we have all week to do that.
