Tom Duane will join me to talk about his impassioned speech on the Senate floor recently, which urged his colleagues to support a bill that prevents people living with HIV or AIDS and receiving public assistance.The vote on the bill, which was not passed by the Assembly, was 52-1. The lone "no" vote was cast by Sen. Kemp Hannon, a Long Island Republican and former chairman of the Senate Health Committee (now the ranking minority member).
