Today's Show: The World Has Curves

3:30pm EST: American women spend exorbitant amounts of money and time to uphold an ideal of beauty, in search of "the perfect body." What can we learn by looking at other cultures, and why does the "perfect body" remain so elusive even as culture pressure women to find it? Julia Savacool, articles director of Fitness Magazine attempts to answer these questions in her new book, The World Has Curves: The Global Quest for the Perfect Body, and joins me to talk about this afternoon.
