Today's Show: Will Obama Lead?

2:30pm EST - Steve Hildebrand is an openly gay Democratic political strategist, president of Hildebrand Strategies and a former deputy campaign manager for Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign -- the closest gay advisor to the man who would be president. Last summer Hildebrand garnered much attention after he publicly criticized the White House for dragging its feet on LGBT rights and for producing the antigay DOMA brief.

But Hildebrand soon thereafter appeared to pull back. He said that the president got the message after a meeting Hildebrand had with him in the Oval Office and that he had faith things would move along more quickly. Months later many believe the president continues to move too slowly, however, and that DADT repeal will be lost if the White House doesn't lead on a vote this year for repeal. Where Hildebrand stands now is something we'll find out today, as he will join me in studio.
