Today On The Signorile Show!

5:05pm ET - As the fight for marriage equality in the United States steadily progresses and members of the LGBT community have seen growing acceptance in main stream culture, one aspect of gay life is in decline, the gay neighborhood.  In his new book There Goes the Gayborhood? Amin Ghaziani, a sociologist at the University of British Columbia, discusses how America’s historically gay enclaves are now going through a "de-gaying" or "straightening" process that raises the question of how to preserve some of the culturally important spaces that have been at the center of the gay rights movement over the last 50 years.  Amin joins us today to talk about his book and why the draw of the so-called gayborhood is fading away.  You can also follow Amin on twitter.
