Today On The Signorile Show!

3:35pm ET  - Bowing to pressure from fellow Democrats who feared that acting on immigration will hurt their chances this fall; President Obama announced that he will delay taking executive action on immigration until after the midterm elections.  Joining us to discuss this decision and what it means for the millions of undocumented people this in country is Gary M. Segura, Professor of American Politics and Chair of Chicano/a – Latino/a Studies at Stanford University and the co-founder of the polling firm Latino Decisions.


4:35pm ET - After a string of botched executions and DNA-based exoneration's of men on death row, opponents of the death penalty have revived their hopes that judges and voters will finally see capital punishment for what it is: an intolerable affront to human dignity. But according to Daniel LaChance, an assistant Professor of History at Emory University, in his recent Op-Ed in the New York Times, this optimism is understandable, but misplaced.  He joins us today to discuss how anti-death penalty activist have been arguing the wrong points in their quest to convince Americans to end capital punishment in the US once and for all.
