Today on The Signorile Show!

3:35pm ET - President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced a surprise agreement on climate change yesterday.  The plan will double the pace of carbon pollution reduction in the United States and set forth major collaborations between the two nations on energy policy and innovation.  Could this be the climate change reform that advocates have been pushing for?  Climate Desk producer Tim McDonnell joins us from Mother Jones to examine the details and impact of this agreement.

4:35pm ET - Thirty two states now allow gay marriage, and the Supreme Court could soon rule to make it legal nationwide.  It’s hard to believe that just a decade ago, gay marriage was such an unpopular, downright toxic, issue for both politicians and the public.  A well-organized marriage equality advocacy movement helped drive this expansion of rights, and one of the key advocates, Marc Solomon, has written a new book chronicling this historic shift.  Author and campaign director of the Freedom to Marry campaign, Marc Solomon joins us in the studio today to discuss his new book Winning Marriage: the Inside Story of How Same-Sex Couples Took on the Politicians and Pundits -- and Won.

See him on his coast-to-coast book tour, which stops in New York this Friday.
