Today on the Signorile Show!

3:35pm ET - Here we are the day after the election.  What happened to the senate?  Which races are still too close to call?  What can you do to recover from your election night hangover?  From the midterms to the state initiatives, we dive into the results with blogger, political consultant and friend of the show Joe Sudbay.  He joins us to talk about last night’s elections, and -- we hope -- find a few progressive victories to celebrate too.

4:05pm ET - While gay rights expand and marijuana becomes legal in more places, abortion still divides the nation.  One in three American women will have terminated at least one pregnancy by the time they reach menopause, yet abortion remains a taboo issue, even among many who quietly support it.  Just yesterday, Colorado and North Dakota voters struck down state ballot proposals that would have defined personhood as starting from conception.  As clinics close and state rules encroach, access to abortion in certain parts of the country is nearly impossible.  In her new book Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights, Nation Magazine columnist and author Katha Pollitt chronicles the abortion rights movement from Roe v. Wade to the Hobby Lobby decision.  Pollitt joins us today to explore the issues and why everyone should champion a woman’s right to choose.
