3:15pm ET - Yesterday, the United
States Court of Appeals for the 6th circuit ruled in favor of
upholding the bans on marriage equality in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and
Kentucky. Joining us to discuss this
ruling and whether it will mean that the Supreme Court will now have to hear
marriage equality cases is Ari EzraWaldman is an Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Institute for
Information Law and Policy at New York Law School.
3:35pm ET - Despite the defeat suffered by the Democrats on Tuesday there were some positive things that happened for progressives as a result of the midterm elections. One of those things was the election of John McCrostie to the Idaho state legislator for District 16, John is the first openly gay man to be elected to statewide office there and he joins us to discuss his victory, the issues he will be fighting for, and how he plans to deal with Idaho’s anti-gay Governor Butch Otter.
