ENDA Vote Today

ENDA, without transgendered protections, to be voted on this morning. Trans amendment apparently will be scrapped. Really been a pathetic few weeks, sorry organizing by Democratic leaders from the beginning and a lot of ugly and nasty attacks on trans people. We'll be talking a lot about this today on the show I'm sure. Some buffoons will undoubtedly be attacking those Democrats who, standing up for transgendered people, will vote against this inadequate (and going nowhere) bill.

By the way, sorry for very light posting here over the past week: Had a lot of issues going on related to a gym injury, as those of you who listen to the show know. When I get a chance I'll bore you with all the details -- and see if some of you have had this experience too.

UPDATE: ENDA, of course, will be voted on tomorrow, not today. Joe Solmonese of the Human Rights Campaign was on the show today and we had quite a discussion about that group's complete turnaround and support of a non-inclusive ENDA. We will be replaying it tomorrow in the 2 p.m. ET hour.

UPDATE II: Pam Spaulding has the audio of the Solmonese interview up. Take a listen and post your thoughts in the post above.
