So says Governor Paterson of New York about marriage for gays and lesbians in this great profile about his committment to LGBT rights. The Times also has a very supportive editorial of him and of marriage rights for gays in New York, and a piece on what Republicans are going to do -- if they have any options at all, as Paterson is simply following the law -- to fight against the recognition of marriages of gays and lesbians from out of state.
