Supremes Side With Habeas Corpus

The Supreme Court has ruled today in a 5-4 decision(for the THIRD time since 2004 we might add) that the United States government must give detainees held at Guantanamo Bay the right to question their imprisonment. Habeas Corpus has been a key part of the rule of law for centuries. It was a narrow margin, with all the liberals voting right and Kennedy the swing vote. This ruling underscores the importance of having a Democratic president name the next justice.
