Obama-Clinton-No Obama-Kaine-Maybe

The New York Times today has an article saying that Hillary Clinton's chance of being on the ticket is "unlikely."

Meanwhile, according to politico.com, VA Gov. Tim Kaine is "very, very high" on the VP shortlist.

Pro-gay Democrat Kaine, an early Obama supporter, could turn Virgina blue with his background as a Spanish-speaking former Catholic missionary and civil rights lawyer. He'd play well to Virginians, Catholics, working-class white voters and Hispanics. One problem: his lack of foreign policy which talking heads have been insisting Obama needs in a VP mate.

Of course Hillary brings that experience and more -- which brings us back to the fact that many Hillary supporters haven't given up, yet. We'll be discussing this on the show in second hour. What do you think? Is it time to move on, or do you still feel the only chance Obama has to win is with Hillary by his side? Give us a call when we get into it.

UPDATE: Yikes, we had it wrong, and thanks to a commenter for pointing it out -- Tim Kaine is far from pro-gay. Mea culpa from us all -- we must have confused him with Tim Conway, or Tim Gunn or Tiny Tim or some other fabulous Tim. Pam was on this when he let the marriage amendment move, and then when he apparently gay-baited in the campaign.
