The latest round in this election may be about proper tire pressure and Cindy McCain's boobs, but a new liberal group called Accountable America is gearing up to go on the attack. Instead of going after McCain-- the candidate-- more aggressively (like some other dems would like) the group is going after his donors. Accountable America's founder told the New York Times that his groups plans to "go for the jugular." They're sending out "warning letters" to 10,000 of the Republican Party's biggest donors next week.
The warning letter is intended as a first step, alerting donors who might be considering giving to right-wing groups to a variety of potential dangers, including legal trouble, public exposure and watchdog groups digging through their lives.We're sure they won't find any dirt on Republican donors, those people are all saints.
