Though the Catholic Church has been reticent to discuss the topic, among the most zealous supporters of the Nazi Party were Catholic clergyman known as "brown priests, "argues author Kevin Spicer. Hitler's Priests tells the story of those who publicly supported the Nazis and went to great lengths to prove that Catholicism was compatible with Nazism. With a current pope who was a member of the Hitler youth, it's doubtful the church is going to welcome this kind of exposure right now. But we're certainly very interested.
