Today On The Signorile Show!

4:15pm ET - Last week after President Barack Obama signed an executive order to expanded protections for federal workers and contractors from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, ExxonMobil announced that as one of the largest federal contractors it will comply with the law, but it still remains unclear whether the company will change the language of its equal opportunity corporate policy to reflect the President’s Executive Order.  According to government records ExxonMobil won more than $480 million in federal contracts in 2013 and more than $8 billion since 2006, making it one of the largest employers to receive federal contracts, and as a result it’s compliance with the order can offer an example of the effect this executive order will have on the lives of thousands of LGBT Americans who work at one of the nation’s largest employers.  Joining us to discuss this order as well as update us on what’s going on in our Nation’s capital is Congressman Mark Pocan of the 2nd Congressional District of Wisconsin.  You can also follow Rep. Pocan on twitter and facebook.
