Today On The Michelangelo Signorile Show!

3:35pm ET - Over the past few months the humanitarian crisis at the border has been all over the news, with Republicans calling for the deportation of child refugees and anti-immigrant protesters mistakenly screaming at YMCA campers in a bus.  While these lawmakers and activists are claiming to be concerned for the well-being of these children the policies they support would send them back to their home countries with little opportunity for their claims to asylum of being heard.   Joining us to discuss this crisis and the claims that it is the result of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is Esther Yu-Hsi Lee, an Immigration Reporter/Blogger for ThinkProgress who is A Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiary herself.  You can also follow Esther on twitter.

4:35pm ET - Last week, despite his controversial past statements, the New York Football Giants announced that they had hired former player David Tyree as the director of player development, a position, according to Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin, that “is meant to aid players in their development as young men and help them pursue opportunities in the business world and in networking in the city that they happen to be playing in.”  In a 2011 interview with the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), David Tyree said that gay marriage would lead to anarchy and lawlessness and he later in another interview stated that he would trade his 2008 Super Bowl winning catch if it would stop marriage equality from happening.  As if this wasn't enough to make the Giants re-think their decision to hire him, recent revelations have been made about David Tyree’s own mentors and business associates that call into further question his fitness to mentor young players.  Joining us to discuss David Tyree and his controversial mentors and associates is Rachel Tabachnick, a fellow and researcher at Political Research Associates.
