Today On The Michelangelo Signorile Show!

3:30pm ET - Recently, Truvada, the once-a-day pill that can help in preventing people from contracting H.I.V., has been all over the news, it was even featured as a cover story on New York Magazine.  The pill has been heralded for drastically reducing gay men’s fear of infection and it has been reported that a major study found it to be 99 percent effective.  However according to Josh Barro, a domestic correspondent for The New York Times these findings are all wrong because the 99 percent figure isn’t a study finding at all but rather a statistical estimate, based on a number of assumptions.  He joins us today in studio to discuss his article and explain what this all means as it relates to the true effectiveness of Truvada.

4:05pm ET - As he does every Friday, Noah Michelson, Executive Editor of Huffington Post Gay Voices, joins us to help close out the week in stories making headlines over at Gay Voices.  You can also follow Noah on twitter and facebook.
