Last month, the EmpireState Pride Agenda (ESPA), a leading LGBT advocacy group in New York State announced that it will disband this year, citing the fulfillment of a 25-year campaign for
equality. The announcement took many
people by surprise and has left many advocates for the LGBT community,
questioning what the future will hold as a result of the critical legislative
role that ESPA played in the state.
