Over the past few days there has been a lot of chatter coming from Republican’s about their concerns over Ted Cruz’s
eligibility to run for president as a result of his birth in Canada to an
American mother and Cuban father. Sen.
Cruz has responded to the questions by saying that because his mother was
American he is by default a “Natural Born Citizen” regardless of where he is
born in the world and thus eligible to hold the highest elected office in the
country. This heightened attention on
the Senator has also carried over to increased interest into his father Rafael
Cruz, who has become a folk hero in his own right among Religious Right
activists for his belligerent tirades against President Obama, LGBT activists,
and “liberals”. As it turns out, Rafael
has new book coming out this month titled A Time for Action: Empowering the Faithful to Reclaim America, and in
