Today on the Signorile Show

All the talk today is about the non-apology for the apology by Texas Republiban Representative Joe Barton, to BP for the apparent "shakedown" from the White House for making BP set aside $20 Billion in relief funds. Republicans are spinning out of control trying to undo the damage and there is still a lot of fall out from his comments. We'll go over the the rest of yesterday's hearings and how Barton's comment's really hurt the Republicans.

Meanwhile, as the hearings went on in Washington, the oil continued to leak off the Gulf Coast. The president made the claim that we'll be able to capture 90% of the oil soon, but many are wondering if this oil will ever stop gushing. We'll talk about the concerns of scientists that think this leak is unstoppable.

Guests / 3:30pm EST - The Advocates Kerry Eleveld joins us this afternoon to discuss the status of ENDA legislation in Washington and also the progress, or lack there of, by the Obama administration on LGBT equality.

Guest / 4:30pm EST - Dr. Jallen Rix is a speaker, educator and author. His latest book is Ex-Gay No Way: Survival and Recovery From Religious Abuse, which talks about the religious abuses of the conversion therapy movement and his own journey through it.

The internet is still a fairly new frontier, one where we have started hearing stories about cyber hacking that pose a risk of national security. There is currently a bill in the Senate, which would grant powers to the president to essentially shut down the internet if there was a suspect threat to our national security. Many technology experts are wondering though if this is just an attempt to try and censor the internet from leaks on whistle blower websites, such as Wikileaks. We'll go over some of the details that are being suggested in this bill and get your thoughts on whether this is an attempt to censor the internet.

It's Friday, that means we'll be giving away our "Angel, Turkey, Gassie and Climax of The Week!" Who gets an award this week? Cast your votes on Mike's Twitter and Facebook! (If you already follow Mike, be sure to follow my tweets too!)
