McLieberman

When he isn't running around professing his love for John Hagee or NOT investigating the various crimes of Blackwater, Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut likes to attack Barack Obama's foreign policy on behalf of John McCain and entertain the possibility of speaking at this year's Republican Convention. So, you can understand why most of us are sick of this gasbag. Sadly many of Lieberman's Democratic counterparts, although irked by his actions, can't be as harsh in their critiques as we'd like:

"Democrats have reason to tolerate Lieberman's actions. If he were to caucus with the GOP, the balance of power in the narrowly divided Senate would slip away, especially with Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., battling brain cancer. Democrats need Lieberman to maintain their 51-49 Senate majority."
Clearly, the man is drunk with power. The only problem for Lieberman is that once the Democrats gain more Senate seats in 2008 he will become totally irrelevant.
